The village of St Lucia is surrounded by the Great St Lucia Lake, the warm Indian Ocean with unspoilt golden beaches and the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park. With water surrounding three sides of St Lucia and having to cross the St Lucia Lake by bridge to reach the village, the hamlet is fondly known by the locals as “The Island”.

St Lucia is the only private village in the world that falls within the boundaries of a Natural World Heritage Site, The Greater St Lucia Wetland Park. Here you can have a "bush" holiday whilst still enjoying the many facilities a small village has to offer.
